Life Bites
Ren staggered forward, stumbling towards the barrier glistening in the range, bright red blood dripped slowly from where his cloak was wrapped around his upper arm, the cloak soaked in deep red stains, blood. More blood dripped, trailing Ren's path, Drip Drip , he staggered and fell, but he quickly stood again and bumbled forwards. Reaching the glittering barrier he coughed up blood into his palm and he glanced at it awkwardly, it glittered a bright, delicious, red in the moonlight, he couldn't help but notice how his blood looked so tantalising in this light, how it glistened with slight power and looked like it was wanting to be eaten. He slurped up his own blood with delight, sighing with estatic pleasure, wanting more and MORE and then realizing what he had done, he spat quickly; his blood didn't look so tantalising mixed with spit and he moved on. He mumbled under his breath the required entrance password, and walked through the barrier he regained as much composure as he could and held his head high.
He walked slowly towards the fountain, in its beauty, Sakura trees surrounded the path to it and it was a beautiful scene, worthy of the best artist's time. His cloak was wound tightly around his upper right arm, his right hand clenching his left arms inner wrist. He tried using energy to lighten the pain, but failed, the wounds were caused by to high a level species to be healed by Ren, who was equal in level in his species as the inflicted wounds were to theirs.
Sighing slightly he took another step, pink sakura petals spun around his body at every step. Soft moonlight shone on the Fountain of Spracus, its own ethereal glow permeating the night air.
The Advisor had sent him on a peace mission, to get some people to help the Advisor in an war the Advisor believed was to happen. Ren didn't doubt him, as the Advisor was massively powerful in comparison to everyone he every knew, and since that threat, the Advisor had said, was over twice as powerful as him, Ren went quickly.
His mission was to obtain the help of the other species, starting with the best fighters, The Vampires, and the best hunters, The Lycans, his mission with the usually peaceful Vampires went quickly and without to much hassle, underneath the bright glow of a endless moonlight it had went. The settling deal that got the hand of the Vampires to agree to help, when the time arose, was Ren agreeing to get bitten. The wound had long since healed, but a pale movement of skin had since spread from Ren's inner left hand wrist up to his elbow, destroying his usually tanned skin, leaving it pale and needing.
He knew that it would need dealing with quickly, but he still had some time. Vampire bites and the transformation to them took quite the while on Angels. They didn't even work unless it was an exceptionally powerful Vampire, in Ren's case, the head Vampire of the Council in the Vampire Dimension in the fifth Realm.
His mission with the Lycans had gone far better then Ren had anticipated, especially with the plain aura of Vampire power emitting from his left arm, and the fact that the bite was obvious. Ren hadn't thought they even had noticed until the Lycans suggested he get bitten, to turn him into a Lycan as well, to be the right hand of the whole segregation. Since Lycans are usually completely subtle and non-violent with sane, mentally stable, species, and the long running treaty between Angels and Lycans, this proved to Ren they knew about the Vampire bite. But, he agreed anyways, and beneath the pale light of a pseudo-full moon the head Lycan made, it was done. That wound hadn't healed yet, and a chunk of his upper right arm was missing.
Ren knelt on the ground, wincing heavily at the pain in his arms, "Freaking Vamps and Werewolves, I could die, but the Advisor promised full access to the Fountain, so I couldn't refuse, with no downside and all... Since the fountain can cure it... But still, it was painful, and it's getting near to late to heal the Vamp bite..." Shuffling slowly along in his kneeling position, he reached the fountain's marble side, inside shimmering water cascaded from a large triangular pillar and the water flowed endlessly back up and down. Flower Petals passed through the air, even though the area was free of wind.
Ren unwound the cloak from his arm and quickly cleaned it with some energy, the wound itself was a sickly green, Lycan bite marks could be detected on the flesh just outside the wound itself, where Proto's teeth had scraped in for the bite. From the wound a grayish-brown seeping colours wound around in swirls, tufts of white fur were sprouting near the wound as well.
Sighing slightly he placed his hand in the water, it resisted slightly, folding back at his touch, rippling slightly where his fingertips were connecting to it, but the water soon gave way and his hand submerged, along with his arm. The immediate, immense, pain that followed almost knocked Ren out where he knelt, but he braced himself quickly and dealt with the pain as best he could. Water lapped up his arm slowly, melting the flesh and muscle instantly, leaving nothing but bone. It soothed the wound in its odd way first, before violently spraying up and crashing into it, seeping it's delighted fangs into the bone, sucking free the Lycanthrope Disease, the waters powers felt fully it slowly retreated, dripping in slow, molten crystalline beads down his bone, leaving bright white cured marks where the water dripped, cleaning the bone.
Ren gasped heavily, and pulled his arm free forcefully, a popping could be heard and he tumbled back a few feet, his skin and muscle flowing down his arm in golden beads of blood. His right arm fully reformed Ren glanced wearily at it, sighing heavily, tears glistened in his eyes. Making them refract the pale moonlight, he winced and a sharp cloud of purple mist fill his irises, turning them a light, misty purple for a moment before turning back to their bright, glistening blue. Ren blinked back more tears and crawled heavily back to the fountain, smiling slightly his teeth reflected the Fountain's water's light, giving his teeth a pale grey-blue glow.
Ren braced himself before letting his arm fall into the waters this time, expecting already what was to happen. The waters powers, after all, was to completely cleanse all diseases, even those at sub-DNA level, that have been inflicted on the person. As a born angel, Ren would not lose his Angel heritage or abilities, but he would lose the inflicted Lycanthrope or Vampirism. Ren smiled slightly again,"This bites..." Laughing heartily he went to place his arm in the water.
His arm lay cushioned on top of the waters, again they refused his arm entrance, but Ren forcefully plunged his arm into the bright crystal blue waters and was almost knocked unconscious again, the sensation and pain were different then when he got the Lycanthrope cured, the water first went out, away from the bite mark, then plunged inwards, avoiding touching anything except for the mark. The water forced its way into the mark, turning the skin raw and red near it when it entered, Ren could feel immense pain as the water surged through his whole body and purged all the Vampirism from his entire blood system at a cellular level.
Ren's body involuntarily twitched as it passed through his heart, his entire body felt on fire at an immense degree, his left arm molted and turned tan again, but his skin simultaneously grew blisters everywhere, popping instantly. His whole body was covered in rash and blisters over the skin where his veins were. Vampirism was a Blood-related disease when inflicted on an individual, whereas Lycanthrope Disease was a physical ailment and an application of body morphing at a full moon, so the water reacted in kind. Differently in fact, for all diseases is how it reacted, the water wouldn't always be there however, since it came from an unknown source that had a limit.
Ren understood this as his body went through the process, his entire body in massive pain he couldn’t help it as his eyes teared, the tears fell down his face in glistening beads. His eyes violently switched between Vampire Purple and Angel Blue, then a watery film covered his eyes and his irises turned Blue, permanently, but left the whites of his eyes red and itching. He was attached to the water flow and stuck in his current, kneeling, position. Finally, when the water finished its process it flowed back out and through the non-existing bite mark. The water surged into the Fountain, and Ren was pushed back forcefully.
Ren lay conscious of everything, his mind racing this way and that, thinking of how he'd feel when he woke from the obvious mini-coma he was facing, he couldn't help but revise what he had previously said, "LIFE bites...", chuckling slightly as his body healed all of his wounds as quickly as possible.
However, he was intensely drained of most of it and by the time it had finished healing he lay unconscious, Sakura petals drifted lazily across the area as pale moonlight made the area dazzle in a soft pink glow.
A single petal drifted onto Ren's chest, and stayed there as his chest rose and fell in a calm motion. His breath lazily leaving his mouth, causing another petal resting on his half open mouth to rise up when he exhaled and then back down to his lips when he inhaled.
Unconscious for several more minutes, Ren missed the Fountain of Spracus spraying water up, then catching it in a dazzling display of power and energy. The pillar moved slightly, it's triangular shape quivering in sleep as it absorbed the diseases and quenched them entirely in power. Lights from the fountain bathed the whole area in lights, the iridescent blues, greens, and reds melding together, a rainbow of colours shone out of it and Ren's face was repeatedly bathed in multi-coloured lights that changed his face.
Ren's eyes flickered momentarily, his Gold Irises showing momentarily before changing back to light Blue, and then back again. His power control was out of it for now, and every now and then a small planet floated above his skin before settling back in it, his pupils were constantly dilating and flickering this way and that beneath their lids. His eye whites occasionally glowing bright yellowish white, his face was contorted oddly into a smile while he lay there. His whole face oddly positioned and contorted for how he was, the petals lazily drifting off. His artifacts randomly appearing when they wanted to, all in their weakest forms.
At one point during the short time he was asleep the water from the fountain rose out of it and attempted to spear him in the chest to rid him of his mortal coil, but as luck would have it the Artifact Chainmail was there at the time and the water simply got shocked massively and recoiled back into the fountain, lazily nursing it's own wounds, which looked something like a small whirlpool near the center of the large fountain, around the Pillar.
Thirty-six minutes later Ren woke up lazily, the sakura petal on his mouth fluttering down to rest on his thigh. He sighed slightly and rubbed his eyes, all of his uncontrolled power releases now halting, his power fully replenished. Glancing wearily at his left hand wrist and his upper right arm, Ren smiled happily, "Free, that odd mixed feeling of wanting to Howl at the moon and bite someone at the same time was just weird..."
He walked slowly towards the fountain, in its beauty, Sakura trees surrounded the path to it and it was a beautiful scene, worthy of the best artist's time. Re: Life Bites
Solomon was suprised to see Ren by the pool. Announcing himself he snapped his fingers, " I have a present here. "
He threw a figure off his shoulder before it rolled next to Ren. The thing was the unconcious body of Ezrion, missing an arm and with a large hole in his chest nect to his heart, visibly infected. Ezrions breathing was heavy and he was noticibly in pain.
Solomon walked up and beckoning to Ezrion but staring at the pillar, spoke, " The advisor brought some wildlife life here. He also brought some speacies of Nulls. Ezrion here thought he could take on a pack of Scorpion Nulls. Nasty buggers, with a really back poison. They do not reproduce, so they place a normally unhealable venom inside victims which turns theor blood into eggs. " Sighing heavily he thought of some temple members who died like this.
He kicked Ezrion and pointed to the pool, " How do we do this. "

Re: Life Bites
"I was unaware of these, Nulls, as you call them... But it's easy enough, we just have to be careful his head doesn't touch the pool... That could end bad... Just let me handle this... Besides, how did you get here? It's off limits to most people, unless you were directly behind me when I entered the password to get in you'd be stuck.... Oh well..."
Standing up and stretching he walked over to Ezrion and pointed a finger at him, using energy to lift him he carefully hovered him over the pool, the spray of water just touching him. Ren could guess Ezrion's pain, but could never describe it to anyone, only Ezrion could. But Ren knew Ezrion would most certainly be perfectly healed at the end.
After the wounds had healed, with whatever going on with his body Ezrion's own business, he picked up his discarded cloak, cleaned it with energy, and spun it onto his back.
The bite tatoo now on his inner left wrist, and a bigger bite tattoo on his upper right arm, representing the contracts with the respective species that gave him the bites he had just healed, just visible as he put his cloak on.

Re: Life Bites
Ezrion in his semi-concousness felt himself leave the ground, then the massive amount of pain as the water entered his body through the hole in his chest and began coursing through his veins absorbing all the venom in his body, which was alot. The water made sure to cleanse his entire body purging him of any minor injuries he had sustained. As it began to trickle into his stomach a cry of pain was torn from his lips before he passed out.
The water moved to his severed arm and slowly, painfully reconsructed it. The bone first then muscle began to grow out and over the bones, followed by veins and arteries which grew like the roots of a tree, and lastly the skin crawled over it to cover everything. The water then trickled out of his body through his fingers and dripped back into the fountain.
The moment after the water had finished healing him, Ezrion woke up and was placed lightly to the floor. After Ren had placed Ezrion back onto the ground he looked over at Solomon and said, "Dude, remind me not to take those things on again, EVER!"

Solomon waved Ezrion off, " I told you, no type of energy attack works. " Then turning his attention to Ren, " I sent out a pulse of energy with a message to the Advisor. He told me where to go and how to get in. "

Re: Life Bites
Ren sat down and shook his head slightly, "Ya, that's likely..." Ren was thouroughly annoyed that Ren had to go through what he had to go through to get access to the Fountain and Solomon just had to ask for it.
Sighing slightly he examined his new tattoos with interest, "Hope these don't stay forever..."
